Push it out on the street and call the City/County to have it towed and let it be their problem.

I was going to hire a pro to acid wash it that way none of the detail is lost since this is sand stone from Scotland and I could give all the history and the cost of this place was crazy.

It merely pushes the market further in that direction.

Unfortunately our government "protects" people from investing in these deals and instead pushes everyone to the sanitized products that lower the big firm's cost of capital at the expense of helping Joe Six Pack accumulate wealth.I could go on and on...but I don't want to bore you to death ;-)

I don't think I'm alone in expecting a correction in the US in the next two years - could these foreign markets moving money into the US push that back?

They are pushing using DPO's to fund the rehab of downtowns, etc., but I haven't seen it used for real estate syndications yet.

I suppose there will be more upkeep (landscaping, etc.) but maybe it's a wash?

Because most PMs don't vet or bother getting to the bottom of the service call that "my stove/sink/ac... is broke" - you get the maytag man to push the burner in, a plumber for a simple trap clean-out or an electrician to flip a breaker.Just my experienced opinion.
