I made a thread awhile back when I posted my 7,000th post. In that thread I mentioned that I would provide an update when I reached my 10,000th post.

Here is what I had to say when I hit 7,000 posts.

______________________

This is my 7,000th post here on Bigger Pockets.

I wanted to take the time to reflect on my time here on the site and were I am at in my real estate career.

Bigger Pockets has been a huge boost to my real estate career. Without Bigger Pockets and the previous 7,000 posts, I would not be where I am today.

As I write my 7,000th post on Bigger Pockets this where I am at with my Bigger Pockets profile and my real estate career

  • 7,000 Posts

  • Owner of a real estate brokerage/property management co. that employs 14 people
  • 2 employees hired directly because of BiggerPockets. One as an agent @Kevin Hoag and another (Anthony) as a maintenance technician. Anthony is not a BP member but was referred to me by another BP member.
  • Owner of 100+ rental units
  • Manager of 250+ rental units

I wonder where I will be when I write my 10,000th BiggerPockets post.

  • 9 employees hired directly because of BiggerPockets. (+7) @Kevin Hoag @Federico Gutierrez @Nicholas Varner @Robert Quinn @Antonio Biasiotta @Matt Motil @Account Closed had asked me what my upcoming plans were in that 7,000 post thread. Below was where I thought (or hoped) I'd be when I hit 10,000 posts.

As for my upcoming plans in and around the 10,000 post range; or within the next two years.

    • Own 200+ units.
    • 1,000+ units under management.
    • 15-20 solid and highly trained agents. I don't want to be the brokerage that hires everyone that walks in the door.
    • Start writing a real estate book. (This may be around 25,000 posts)

    ______________________

It has been only 10 months between the 7,000th and 10,000th post. I stated I wanted to hit those goals at 10,000 post or within two years so I am a little less than halfway into that time period and I believe hitting those goals I set at 7,000th post shouldn't be a problem.

    • Own 200+ units.

(Still have 100 to go, During the last 10 months I focused more on building my brokerage than my own investment portfolio. I did add some new buildings but I liquidated a lot of others. I traded in some of my single family homes and duplexes in the rougher areas of my portfolio and acquired some larger assets in the suburbs)

    • 1,000+ units under management.

(Right on schedule to hit this goal)

    • 15-20 solid and highly trained agents. I don't want to be the brokerage that hires everyone that walks in the door.

(Have already exceeded this goal. Between those who are actively working with clients and those that are in training we have 33 agents. I expect to be at 100 agents by the end of my original two year mark. Not all of them are investor focused but getting them highly trained is still my number 1 priority)

    • Start writing a real estate book. (This may be around 25,000 posts)

(Whoooo, I've been a busy guy. I may need to push this goal back to 50,000 posts)
