The home has a pool, a lake view, and my plan would be to renovate it entirely, giving it a unique look (bohemian decor, hammock in the backyard, fruit trees, gravel path leading to a fire pit, etc).Anyone having been to that neighborhood would agree that it is far from upscale (in fact, some houses are pretty run down), but I do see quite a few Airbnbs there, and the community is very close to the theme parks. 

Sitting at the most amazing coffee shop ever and I've been staring out the window for an hour at the building in front of it with the most beautiful windows ever.

It's absolutely beautiful and the market is growing quickly.  

The outcome was a beautiful single family rental that is paying for itself, while growing our equity!

Your decor and furniture package make all the difference as well since there's so many 3BR units.

Hi everyone, My clients offer got accepted for a beautiful SFH in San Bruno.

Curb appeal, lighting, possibly security cameras, solid core or decorative metal doors with deadbolts and security screen doors, interior painting that is not one color on everything, accent walls in main living area and primary bedroom, cabinets and closets painted white on the interior, flooring limited to one or two designs throughout the unit, and no carpet, windows and screens fully operable and clean...all of this will elevate your unit vs. most of the others in such a neighborhood.

You may be surprised at how radically different those two properties are (I was definitely surprised).For instance, before the rate hikes, a mortgage payment of $3k per month put you in the lap of luxury in my city--A and B class properties in the best A and B class neighborhoods in the city were attainable (think: beautiful tree-lined streets, trendy bars and restaurants nearby, the best school districts in the city, residents with some of the highest income in the city, etc., etc.) .
