STR with No Curb Appeal

Anthony R.
Posted

Hi All,

Any suggestions for marketing an STR that lacks curb appeal?

It’s a really nice, newly updated 1bd/1ba condo in a ski community, so the inside truly is charming, but the building and the unit’s location within the building lack that “Wow” factor I see on so many listings. No “Wow” view of the mountains either.

Defintely don’t want to mislead in photos, it’s just that the real story is what’s on the inside.

Thanks!

An exterior pic is not all that important. With one of my places, I used to assume that it was and had my first picture on VRBO and AIR be one of the front...and it was really cute, and older house with a blooming apple tree in front. Then I read a book that said show your best interior picture first, so i switched it, and voila it worked out fine. Just pick your most inviting photo and use it.

There is nothing attractive about your front door views, but it doesn't matter....your guests are not renting the front door, they want what is inside..... And the location....!
