Once you understand what you can afford I think that's the time to have more meaningful conversations with agents, mortgage bankers, etc. 

If you stop by and have an informal conversation with the photos that you posted, they will give you a quick answer as to the possibility of creating the parking.

For this conversation, say I can sell that around $1M, prorated $ would be $900K.I need to make sure this $900K would pay for two units (if Triplex) orthree units (4plex) I must target the upleg property priced at $1.35M for the Triplex, $1.2M for the 4plex.....I hope I am correct. 

Also watch for unpermitted work as most garage conversions are not permitted.  

Sunny Malhotra$300K sounds exorbitantly hight for conversion of a heating system, even if it includes running ductwork or hydronic lines to every unit.Can you tell us a little more about the existing heating system?

Even if it's just you and your spouse e-mailing back and forth about how you are going to financially bear the burden, at least it's something, in writing, truthful, and dated as it plays out (rather than being like "so what happened was that 24.574 months ago we had an undocumented conversation that I can't prove ever happened, where we concluded that...").

I requested that the financial info and statements be included in this list and that's what started the whole conversation.
