For this conversation, say I can sell that around $1M, prorated $ would be $900K.I need to make sure this $900K would pay for two units (if Triplex) orthree units (4plex) I must target the upleg property priced at $1.35M for the Triplex, $1.2M for the 4plex.....I hope I am correct.

Even if it's just you and your spouse e-mailing back and forth about how you are going to financially bear the burden, at least it's something, in writing, truthful, and dated as it plays out (rather than being like "so what happened was that 24.574 months ago we had an undocumented conversation that I can't prove ever happened, where we concluded that...").
