I'm an Adjunct Professor but I would like to supplement my income with RE investing.

Not only are you providing supportive, educational parenting, but also you are creating an environment around you that (via the DRIP) that enables that fostering from others as well.  

In Indy, it is not uncommon to see a duplex investment produce a monthly return of 2% or more (especially if you have a contractor lined up that will enable you to purchase a fixer in an appreciating area).

One downside is it's not so great with taxes (reconciliation + depreciation) and I supplement with an accountant who uses quickbooks.
