My properties are mostly SF Houses & Townhouses or Townhouse-Style Duplexes, so no properties where one tenant's ceiling is another's floor.

With that being said I will be house hacking a duplex.

Because we got it for such a great deal I am trying to figure out if I should put a little bit of money into it and flip it for a rough profit of 20k-25k and use that money for a down payment on a duplex, triplex or fourplex.Would you guys hold it and rent it or flip it and use the profit for more units?

But I believe it's only the walls that are being 3D printed for 'only $4,000.00'. 

While this is my first post, I am an avid reader of all the content on this forum and am greatly appreciative of everything this community has to offer.A friend and I are interested in a duplex.

@Eric Calabrese I guess it depends what stage of your investing you are in, I was in the right around 20 units spread across a bunch of duplexes.

Clearly there are some legal alternatives to leveraging unique relationships before having a license on the wall. 

So weird situation, but I was just informed that one of my tenants in my duplex passed away today. 

It also has several opportunities to house hack the estate which include a mobile that I am renting ($1000mo), walk-out basement that needs updated but can be rented, and a building that looks like they were trying to make a duplex but the county shut them down for not getting the proper authorizations.CURRENT NEED: GUIDANCE, MENTORSHIP, and maybe a little more GUIDANCE.

Has anyone here ever built a duplex to house hack?
