Be careful and really examine your mold issues...Most of the time this shows up in more than one location and with 8 years to run wild, I would be willing to bet you will find it in multiple locations.

The reason funds come into a market and pay retail, is there are not enough "deals" and they are betting that retail or slightly over will work out over time because of appreciation.

Your best bet would be to find your local real estate investment group, attend meetings, meet investor one-on-one (this is critical) to hear their story, and read lots here on BiggerPockets.

It's a cost of doing business.Now, the best use of funds is another question, I'd bet that the average flipper makes more than the interest earned on either of those accounts under management, so let your tax advisor guide you as to the use of funds, not the guy holding your money. :)
