I don't know the OPs particulars, but it all depends on 1) if you know where they are to serve them, 2) having a case, 3) the value is large enough, 4) if they have motivation to pay after judgment or assets for the sheriff to sell.It costs us in NC $96 + $30 sheriff service to file a money owed case.
