The videos you see van sometime be inspiring, but they also fail in regards to teaching newbies how to invest because while there may be a number of important factors that are discussed in videos and books there are thousands of important factors that are purposely ignored.

Long story short they stating there is foundation problems, Drainage issues, mold issues, gas leak (the city turned on the gas a week before the home got listed and they checked for any leaks).

Going from a 20 minute commute to a 45 minute commute, and giving up a 4 bedroom 2 bath detached single family house for a 3 bedroom 1 bathroom unit in a plex with a shared wall, if that's the entirety of the story, does not make sense, that looks like occupancy fraud.
