I am reaching out to the BP community for any advice or guidance from experienced investors on how to get my feet wet before diving into real estate in the coming years.My thinking was to reach out to some wholesalers or flippers on long island to see if there is anything I can do to help their business such as driving for dollars, direct mail, or taking calls in return for them teaching me about the business before I head to Philly in 8/17. 

I am in NY and State laws are numerous about what a Brokers legal responsibilities are to the owner(s) of the property.

Are you looking to purchase one LARGE property or numerous smaller MFH?

There are a numerous number of different loan options depending on the type of property you plan on pursuing.

I don't know if I would take them off the list...Case in point, wrote a contract this week on a piece of land that I had numerous calls and contacts with... and I had written at least 3 prior offers on over the last 18 months... seller responded to a new piece of direct mail I sent in the last 30 days.Glad I didn't take them off my list.

Hi @Michael HaynesI´ve been on the Networth Realty mailing list in Tampa for 18 months or so and have spoken to them on numerous occasions about various deals they´re advertising.

Also, look to see if there are numerous rentals in the area on the market.

Once you decide you can partner with a US citizen or business to help get your feet wet.

If you search BP forums for your question, it gets asked a lot on here and you can find numerous answers.
