In preparation, I've read multiple books on property management (Including Brandon Turner's), and have listened to over 100 BP Podcast episodes, as well as browsing the forum.That being said, I have a full time career as an insurance agent (life/health), I'm not sure if my time is better spent split between property management and my career, or if I should hire a local PM for 10%.

If they buy it 20-30 years ago, for $30K, and now, since it's been abandoned and it's only worth $10K, it's an ego thing to take a loss... also, sometimes it's a health thing with older people where maybe they want to rehab them, and just don't get around to it, but again won't sell because they think it's worth so much more..

So I dug this up: 1997 Uniform Housing Code Section 503(b), Health and Safety Code Section 17958.1It states something along the lines of...Every dwelling unit must have at least one room which must have at least 120 feet of floor area.
