There are a couple in town and while I have no basis for comparison, I'm pretty impressed with how it is organized and run.

However, if you have a business that you can get modest income from by means of a shell organization or even a small management company, then you can set up a SD 401k and roll your funds into that, and use those funds for investing purposes.

If you're diligent, organized and disciplined you can do that and will be much further ahead of those who borrow money to do the deals.

I have a space that got interest from a religious organization that has described itself vaguely as a church and community services organization.

Kirk Wheeler you can post in the Local Real Estate Networking and Recommendations and try to organize a local get-together.

Its a great organization.

If I were you I'd go talk to someone at NMCRS or FFSC or whatever other support organization is applicable for your branch.

It's always nice to be organizing something and have people show up :) !
