@Desean Mattox  If you are interested in learning more about investing you should attend a local REIA Club.

It is the first time they are meeting, so I don't know what you can expect, but it will be attended by people who live in your city and are looking to invest in real estate - a great place to pick brains...I concur with all the people who are recommending you find another real estate agent.

I am a college graduate and have recently been accepted into the graduate R.E.I program at Texas A&M but have not decided if I will attend.

I'd love to attend a REIN meeting in the Davidson County area within the next month or two also. 

I've found that the larger firms almost always require the new agents to attend different classes on prospecting, marketing, etc.

My agent told me to wait until after the open house to offer, which I attended, and the agent told me they were expecting (and later received) a full price cash offer.

In my experience, these jobs can tend to over-glamorize and under-support, but I would like to find out more.Other than looking online for some openings that can provide some training, I was planning to attend the local REIA to network and market myself.
