Property Inspector Job

Does anyone have any knowledge about "Property Damage Inspector/ Occupancy Inspector" jobs?  I am looking for a part time job to work around my schedule and want to get more involved in real estate here in Milwaukee.  In my experience, these jobs can tend to over-glamorize and under-support, but I would like to find out more.

Other than looking online for some openings that can provide some training, I was planning to attend the local REIA to network and market myself. Real estate is exciting to me and I want to dive in 100%.

If anyone has any good advice to start I would love to hear it.  I have gotten nothing but great advice from the whole BP community before.
