I'm watching the playoff games today, and it seems every few minutes there's a VRBO commercial....They aren't mentioning AirBnB by name but they show a couple staying in a trailer where nothing works and then a couple staying in a really nice house with an outdoor rain shower, BBQ, pool , etc.....And the wording underneath says - 'Private Residence'.

Seemed like a pretty great way to make money.

Post preliminary investigation from sources, it seems (not confirmed) there is leak in ground.

But, in my humble experience it seems you really have to stand out among your competition to have a successful mid-term rental in this competitive market.  

She would share her 1099s soon and she claims she makes over  150k a year .She seemed like a nice person but i am very skeptical about renting to her due to all the late payments.

DSCR loan was like 11%, HELOC was like 9-10% , not that much different.In general refi is better than HELOC but who wants to do HELOC is our main mortgage is 3%, correct.Having said, comparing HELOC vs DSCR loan, DSCR seems "slightly" better than HELOC as it's not tied to primary's.

Seems like a doable thing to me.Like @Noah Corwick mentioned, you need to make sure you account for your time there, but when you say use it, do you mean for a couple of months or a week here and there?

Hopefully, that isn't the case, but it does seem odd that a person/team who is great with systems would leave a person high and dry.
