From a scalability factor, imagine if you were managing 50 units in 1 building, with 50 different accounts.

I can't imagine finding a storage unit by any other means other than Google or driving past it.

Also, while I'm not familiar with SF, I imagine it is similar to NYC market, so I'd venture out of state to more reasonable markets.

The only thing I can imagine rescreening for would be a criminal background check for your liability reasons.If you let them stay on and they turn out to be bad tenants you will likely have to evict them.

The amount of legal disclaimer crap you have to put on your postcard makes it sound like such a scam, it's hard to imagine it is even worth it.
