Auto Rent Payments

Is it possible to setup an automatic transaction each month from the tenant's checking account into my account for rent collection? I imagine that the tenant's bank needs a voided check from me in order to start the transactions? Anybody do this?

I see it as a convienance for both tenant and landlord.
