(I never got why people would always ask me to wear my uniform to things when I was in, Now I get it....because that uniform represents so much to so many people and even though so many other people don't realize it, it represents the very freedoms they take for granted.)WE, REInvestorProfessor/RE360, are holding training fund raiser this (March 9th @5:30) Wednesday at my office/warehouse in conjunction with all the major Pittsburgh region real-estate groups, PREIA, ACRE, Westmorland REIA, etc....

Granted the data may be anecdotal (number of future jobs) and sales comps & rent rates, but they tend to be more reliable that global data.

Okay so granted my situation..•$5k line of credit•1 cheap rental property owned free and clearIt's a start to start rolling in real estate but to me honestly my resources are limiting me.

Don't take it for granted that everyone has all the info sitting right in front of them just for the taking.

Granted, it has been 10 years since our last big one, but that only means that another one is not too far off in the distance.

This applicant ended up having too many red flags (landlord gave a positive reference but with different length of tenancy, different rent amount, impossible to verify that contact was the actual landlord due to several layers of LLCs, wife had 3 accounts with a total of 1/2 a month's rent go to collections recently).This has been the least appealing bunch of applicants I have had (granted, only my 6th time renting one of our properties), but will keep trying.   

I hope that my association within this community will grant me not only helpful guidance & good sound advice, possibly some business associates, but also perhaps at least a few lasting friendships as well.

Granted, the guys' REI IQ is about 100x higher than mine, but I'm pretty sure his argument is that capex is too high and too unpredictable to buy and hold.

I'm new to the Real Estate world and found BiggerPockets while doing some online research on where to get started (specifically real estate grants)...

But why would they grant that?
