Also recently I was having a conversation with a property inspector in Jacksonville who said that PM's just aren't interested in these types of houses as they don't earn them much money, which I can see, and this sent up yet more red flags.

There are usually city weed liens and sometimes it can take months for the inspector to deliver them to the courthouse and get them attached to the property.

I had no problem getting insurance with that wiring because of the upgraded breaker box - which the insurance company's inspector certified.

All buyers are of course permitted to accompany their inspectors at the inspections though.
