@Jay Hinrichs, I agree that there are a lot of things that can go wrong during a construction project, but I'm using a modular system of building, so we don't have all the headache of bad framing/roofing contractors, etc etc.I appreciate the input!

There were unknown plumbing leaks as the system would not hold pressure, but we could not find any actual leaks.Then I had estimates from various contractors and chose the one I thought would be best.

If so, they will often not have very sophisticated systems in place.

I can tell you from direct experience that there is no shortage of people who will want your money, and will pay a lot to get it.
