Then they lower it a little (still not enough meet on the bone for an investor) But in my opinion, I think they are trying to get home buyers to bite on the properties before they decide to sell at investor purchase prices.

The strictly legal answer is that you must apply your criteria evenly to avoid accusations of discrimination (i am not a lawyer).The most important part of this is applying criteria when you offer a specific property at a specific time.

It merely needs to meet Fannie Mae's minimum guidelines for them to sell the loan to Fannie Mae.

Most the deals I analyze don't meet my buy criteria, so I just move on and wait for something else, so if you're getting discouraged at first just keep in mind that it can take some time to find the right deal.
