Though it will give you a baseline for future improvements.I would start with the easiest analysis - the paper audit of your bill which will let you know if you actually consumed more power or if there was an increase in rent.  

Every gift of time, money or goods that helps another person generates its own immeasurable ROI.

This seems to be the cheapest and easiest way out.
