Hi all, this is my first real question here... a CPA recommended that for a residential rental business in NC I should start an LLC but buy the homes in my own name because a business cannot deduct the mortgage interest but an individual can.

@Jeff Caravalho I know one great management company in Canton.I can give you a referral for a company I believe in and trust, Clear Sky Realty, it is owned by a friend of mine (that also owns over 300 doors in Canton and Akron), the office number (will be in your inbox) (ask for Lila or Eric)also: a lot of people use Hayes Realty, however I have heard both good and bad.

One lease I was under several years ago with some college friends stated that any improvements have to be returned to the original condition or the tenant may be financially responsible if the landlord decides to return it to the original move-in condition.
