I have a few clients that have asked me about buying investment condos and I generally tell them to not consider it vs a house/multifamily

First, you open a new "inherited" IRA  account at the new self-directed custodian, and then do a "custodian to custodian" transfer of some or all of the liquid funds from your existing inherited IRA to the new, self directed, inherited IRA. 

Seems that you would need an additional living space like a TV-free "living room" (something I had in the midwest growing up, but aint nobody got space or $$$ for that in California) or a finished basement (another non-existent luxury where I live) if you want an additional living space to spread people out.

Second question... if we can put in LLC, the house is currently titled in both my husband and my names but we were thinking of having him sign it over to me and having the LLC in my name only.  

@Tomcy Varghese Just chiming in becuause although I'm not an agent in Texas we build duplexes and tiny houses in Indy and the midwest (often on vacant land) and would love to connect with others doing anything similar. 

I was hoping that there was a platform to list these types of investments for sale as there is with private stock options but sadly one doesn't seem to exist.

I got a quote for $3100 per year for a 2400 sq ft 1980 built house which seems very high.
