.-- Owners provide clean, safe, comfortable housing situations to people who can not afford to buy their own home.-- Owners maintain the property so those who cannot afford to do it have a roof over their head that does not leak (an un-doable repair expense for "The Working Poor"), and replace furnaces so they don't freeze to death in the winter, and replace hot water heaters so they can wash.The working poor cannot afford to buy furnace, let alone the price of installation.There is not a renter/owner problem in the USA, other than what is being artificially gined up.The system works well for both sides.Just my 2 cents. 

I think I would be more comfortable buying my first property in an area where I could have high-quality tenants anyways, & I know that specific town is in pretty bad shape.Regardless, since I posted this yesterday that specific listing I was talking about has been taken down.

She's not comfortable with the more sophisticated techniques yet, so I just want to pay her back quickly. 

As time goes on, my systems are improved, my comfort level grows, and I am able to pull the trigger faster, as I learn to recognize what fits my goal easier.

If you'd like to send your kid(s) to the really expensive private school but you are still comfortable with the public schools or less expensive options, then I'd call it a want. 

You can have several mortgages but you have to be comfortable with what ever risk level.
