my renters have been pretty tech savvy as of let so I'm just curios to prepare for the future if any renter prefers a different method than what I am doing today.

You can file a action with Fair Housing maybe.. but good luck.Companies can and do change policy packets and fine print may say they don't even need to appraise you of change. so if your lease had any mention of policy packet or tenant rules... tenant guidelines,,, it could be in there..I never encouraged my co workers which were  maintenance techs to live on site,, because of this.. they always thought the rent reduction was great, but lurking was the vacate within 2 weeks if they got fired or found different spot to work.. 

I save $$$ big $$$ every year because my lead tech takes the time to try to walk the resident/tenant through the problem they are having and resolve via phone if possible.My favorite hero call every time, is when it is 20 below and tenant calls with a furnace out issue, turns out it is simply the batteries in the thermostat, many people do not know that the thermostat in nearly all cases (except for a modern nest) are not direct connect/direct wire and are powered via battery.

A tech from a big name company is going to charge hundreds to do what I would do, set traps.

My best furnace tech has zero sense of smell, so I send someone else!

Anyway, I'll pass this on to our tech guys for a fix. 

It's reasonable to expect tech support is not working on weekends, especially new years weekend.

Then post an ad on Craigslist, with a picture of your washer and describe your model, problem and the part you already have, and say you want a tech guy to come over to repair the motor coupling.

Have spent the last +- (15) years working in the Healthcare sector focusing primarily on high-tech Radiology, OR, and Laboratory projects.
