When you start talking larger multi family properties and commercial buildings (office, retail, industrial) then cap rates become a much bigger factor. 

I know there are a lot of people effected by this, and we need to build an alliance to resolve this matter through legal channels.

First I would say to start building your team.

You can also list those rentals in the MLS with a realtor and probably find quite a lot of traction, as there are many home buyers who sold their home and need a short term place to stay (1-6 months typically) until their new home build is completed and utilize their realtors to help them find something. 

You can also build your buyers list from there as well.
