It's mostly a tourist attraction due to the historical significance.

What I can share through my experience is that interest rates in Taiwan are attractive and property tax is virtually non-existent compared to major U.S. markets.  

That will tell you whether or not you should lower the rent.Keep in mind that by lowering the rent, and attracting a larger tenant pool, you are automatically getting more "suspect" tenants.

I would treat it as a lesson learned, one that most investors go through early in their real estate career.Construction attracts many deadbeats, since the barrier of entry to many trades can be so low (ie painting).  

So if you want to attract a tenant like yourself, you need to price your units at or slightly BELOW market rents.

It might not be - I just don't know the Florida market well.This is another reason why finding homes that already exist and connected to public utilities is much more attractive...

I am finding KC to be an attractive market this year with reasonable prices and good returns!  

Social media market is all the rage but most people have exactly no idea how it works or how to use it  Social media is just like gravity, you want to gather as much mass as you can, this mass will attract other like minded individuals toward you. 

This I think would also make their protection plans more attractive.

Edit: These are general q's, not directed at you OP.Would you like to collect a handful of assignment fees or would you like to build a relationship that could potentially provide free leads as long as there is breath in the lungs of your prospect?
