Hi,My name is Matt and I have been visiting the site for a while and finally decided to join after learning quite a bit from all the knowledgeable members on the site.

The lessons I've learned from taking the licensing class and the network I've started to build with the agency I joined are already moving me towards the goals I want to achieve (like was stated above, buy and hold "passive" income is my objective).

Consider joining a local real estate group; forms that work in that state are a part of membership, and it is a few hundred well spent in my opinion.

You might also consider joining CTREIA, which has monthly meetings and is a good place to network (You can Google them and find their website).

@Faiz Khan Have you joined your local REIA (Real Estate Investment Association).

I'm not interested in buying/selling vacant land, but since you are in NOLA and want to network, you should join the New Orleans REIA.

I just joined BP, as well, and look forward to learning all the avenues available to us on here.I am also in the Phoenix area!

I've read numerous times that us newbies should join our local REIA or group.
