I would bet money that the most popular cabins have the easiest access to GSP and have all the "amenities" like high-speed internet and cable/satellite tv, things that most "outdoorsy" people don't care all that much about since they're going to be standing in a river casting for trout all day.

For locations that need 3 prongs like fridge, tv, etc I will replace them with GFCI and connect to a local ground source like a pipe as you suggest.
