The "medical marijuana" stench was pouring through her door as she looked at me. 

I am in Michigan and have recently received a request from a tenant indicating he is a licensed medical marijuana user.I have read most of the recent posts here and on the web at large but this topic is ever changing and just wanted some input, feedback from those who have dealt with this issue first hand.It does appear that the feds, specifically the DEA, has been told to keep their nose out of the individual State's rulings regarding this matter.Any other thoughts, ideas from those having experienced this issue with tenants?

Little did they know my Uncle decided to do a little random spot check when he came down to the US for one summer vacation and to his demise he found that the tenants were growing marijuana in the backyard!!

We are in Seattle, and the bottom unit tenants will frequently sit out on their deck below and smoke marijuana (perfectly legal!)

Please share how it turned out or some peculiar things I need to watch out for in your opinion. 

We have an issue where marijuana smoke (legal in MA) is making its way to upstairs unit (which I own) and severely impacting the health and well being of my tenant.

We never went through with that deal because i saw a clause that was peculiar - that even after putting money down and going through the process of working towards closing, that the bank can sell to another Buyer, presumably, if there was a better offer.

If only they would legalize marijuana you would be sitting pretty :) But in the meantime, the only thing I have seen successful is like an Antique Mall/fleamarket where you rent the space out to vendors. 

Fishing right in town on any one of several lakes and of course the Pagosa hot springs spa.As an investor bonus, this little town is poised to get a lot of vacation traffic due to the Marijuana trade with Santa Fe and surrounding areas.  

When the squatters leave to re-up their medical Marijuana prescription your hired 'tenant" is ready with a drill and a new lockset.
