...medical marijuana tenants
I am in Michigan and have recently received a request from a tenant indicating he is a licensed medical marijuana user.
I have read most of the recent posts here and on the web at large but this topic is ever changing and just wanted some input, feedback from those who have dealt with this issue first hand.
It does appear that the feds, specifically the DEA, has been told to keep their nose out of the individual State's rulings regarding this matter.
Any other thoughts, ideas from those having experienced this issue with tenants?

Nope. I have nothing against pot, but they need to buy their own house. Why should your property be the subject of figuring out who's going to claim jurisdiction, Michigan or the feds?
I would exclude them as a smoker. That's the easy way. Smokers are not a protected class.
