The 2 upper floor bedroom were huge & we were able to add a 1/2 bath between them but getting a king sized matters up the narrow stairs would be a feat.In one of our multis we also enlarged a couple of bedrooms for that reason & then found everyone seems to want larger living rooms for the huge wrap around couches ???

I only have sturdy coffee table, conference table, couch, comfortable bed, etc, stuff that students normally won't buy to live somewhere for 2 years but definitely appreciate having in a rental which is why I have yet to have a single month of vacancy.

I suspect a part of it may be pragmatism - evicting a tenant in a large complex often means they end up couch surfing at another tenant's place in the same property - banning felons just means you end up renting to single women who magically find "Mr Right" (a felon) as a boyfriend the day after she moves in, etc.If your PM is already tough-as-nails & takes no prisoners, evicting someone with a history isn't really much different than evicting a first-timer and in a large complex, knowing *who* is in your units is a never-ending battle anyway.
