So I’m a little torn should I use an agent or not to sell a flip property? I don’t see the benefits other than they have a good reputation and they can help with the documents has anybody sold properties as owner…

Hi @Leland James

It is the same question as

"Should I hire a painter, I have a roller"?

"Should I hire a roofer, I can put shingles on"?

"Should I hire a guy to seal the driveway, Lowes sells the stuff for $40.00 a gallon"?

"Should I hire a person to stage the property, I have some couches and a few fake flowers"?

"Should I hire a backsplash guy for the kitchen? I watched a youtube video"?

"Should I hire a plumber? I put PEX in at my moms cottage"?

The answer is.... it depends. If you can do it and spend the time to do it right, then nope, run with it. If you can't do it right and aren't going to put the time in.... then yes hire a pro. Each person has things they do great, good, fair and poor. If selling your place is something you can do good or great.... then do it yourself. If you aren't expecting to spend the time/energy and knowledge you expect out of a backsplash person. Hire it out.
