Pain in the butt.

If you really don't want to have to qualify and go through the pain and expense of a refi in 30 months (that would be me), pay it off!  

I know the pain of failing on a flip.  

Im familar with this property as I invest in this area.In fact, I even gave them a nice low ball offer that they didnt take :-)Its in solid condition, what types of violations are on the report (Link didn't work for me)No seller I know will fix violations, they are a pain and Chicago is very complex when it comes to permits and the building department.  

The draws for repair was a little bit of a pain in the tush because they kept asking for licenses for general contractors and such, and licenses are not required here in VT.

Instead my husband did everything you described, but I do feel your pain.

The stocks have been mostly failures, though, with one surprising success, while mutual funds have mostly gone nowhere.Though I’m not looking to get rich fast, I’ve found typical investing strategies to be painfully slow.

Boy was it painful!  

I think it's fantastic, although a big pain at times.

Ideally you can put it in your self directed IRA and set-it & forget it.Otherwise you can attempt to buy the non performers and go though all the pain, agony, headaches, and grief in order to get them performing again.
