We also like the Shenandoah National Park area, but its near the limit of how far we would want to go for our first STR (4.5hr drive). 

At most of my dinner's I talk about real estate and this deal specifically, I buy contractors lunch, and fill up my tank with gas driving there.

I've also been doing some driving for dalliers in the surrounding suburbs as well. there's plenty of property. the price point is a little higher but it's a fast growing area and I believe it was just listed as one of the hottest markets for 2022 let's definitely connect for sure.

Hey All,   Earlier today I was driving for dollars for the first time and found about 15 properties that fit my criteria.

Does anyone have any experience with this area and do you think that we would be able to sustain a 60% occupancy in the off season?  

I understand the factors driving it are different that the last Phoenix bubble, but are these prices sustainable over the long haul? 

When you look at properties, drive at night, walk the streets, and get a feel for the neighborhood. 

We have a few rentals in PA (a few hour drive for us) and just found the experience to be a lot easier when bidding on homes (minus dealing with Property Managers).Feel free to connect if you have any other questions!
