Looking to Invest in STR Near Pocono Summit, PA

Jordan Nikerle
Posted

Hey all! I am looking to get into STRs and would love to hear what all your experience's are like in the Pocono Summit area. According to Airdna it has strong numbers, but I am curious to learn what people with actual boots on the ground are experiencing. I have seen mixed forum posts on the Pocono area, so I am curious if Airdna matches up with the results that most of you are seeing. Thank you so much for your time, and I look forward to furthering this conversation with some of you!

Poconos are doing well, but prices have risen about 30% in the past 2 years alone, and revenue has not increased likewise. Housing supply is at an alltime low, as is labor availability. It's a much, much more difficult market to get into these days so I can't really recommend it. It's hard to find cleaners, handymen, contractors, etc. If it's your first airbnb, it's going to be a real journey. Wish I had better news but I'm wondering myself if I should look elsewhere soon.
