Having a recent appraisal released to another investor/ lender is not difficult and you should stand your ground if they ask you to pay for another appraisal.

And many folks take your stand or point of view on this and basically never get anything done because they are too focused on the capital partner making too much money and they don't think they deserve it...

You can still give them information if they are working with another agent, but you will know where you stand from the beginning.
