There are many properties that come on the market which have a "legal accessory apartment".

There is a website Orem City publishes which provides a list of all the 'accessory apts' that are legal.  

We considered option of buying a rental home with room to add an accessory dwelling unit (ADU) and use that as an Airbnb.  

@Mitchell P.If it is a bungalow with an accessory apartment is it even classified as a duplex?  

If you can keep it rented most of the time, I wonder how the cost of completely furnishing a place with everything including kitchen appliances and accessories, and the carry costs of utilities, compares to the rent coming in.

Additionally, most building and zoning debts will not allow an RV to serves as an "Accessory Dwelling Unit" (ADU).
