You can't know what you don't know ... enjoy the ride, learn, grow, and get into it.

A hail storm came through recently so we could file a claim and have it replaced (deductible is $2500).

You got to ride this out now ..Live and learn .

The cushion is cashflow (income less expenses), if you have enough cushion, you should be able to ride out the storm.

Its like riding a motorcycle...its not will you crash...its more a question of when, how, and were you trained and prepared to survive?

@Hai Le  I agree with @Kelly Singleton that the numbers you have don't work in SoCal.
