So we cancelled and let them know it was against AirBnb policy.Then to prevent them from booking again - I can't remember if we did this on platform or just added it to the agreement - but we set a maximum number of days that you can book.

While having a signed lease wouldn't have prevented this, it may be good practice in the future to get all documentation signed before move-in and ensure that the prospective tenants are familiar with all of your rules.
