That's when I discovered that Costa Rica's credit rating is deep into junk territory and extremely low by international standards.

They have been slowing working on their home for years.

Usually people steer clear of a gut rehab project starting off as it is considered jumping in on the deep end, but seeing as the property is being transferred to you  and your siblings you only have to bear the brunt of construction costs to get ready for rentals you may come out unscathed (assuming you will not have to carry an existing mortgage). 

I just realllllly want this to work and it’s going to reach a year in a few months and it’s still moving slow for me I’ve seen properties talked to owners just no contracts (no worth it deals).

As Covid continues to be a thing and slow us down, I know that impacts the speed at which in-person showings can be done.

I've been looking at population growths in Wisconsin cities and it's a little bit concerning to see very slow growth or none at all, and while I'm more interested in cash flow, it would be nice to pick a market that also sees some appreciation.

Hey @Chris Loyd, slow down and breathe :) It's a lot you're taking in right now and the beauty and simplicity of the stack is exactly for this reason. 

It’s finally rented as of mid November and doing well (so far) but I’m waiting to see how it does long term, especially during the coming slow season.
