It could be as simple as pitching yourself to podcast hosts as a potential guest or looking for speaking gigs in the market you want to expand in so that you can meet more people. 

If you are in the Denver area, our real estate team hosts monthly meetups all centered around house hacking (which is our niche).  

People actually seem to enjoy the interaction....but we are really cool hosts :-)

These are 3 tools that I use to Co-Host 100% remotely 1) Smartlock - Schlage or Yale- This allows me to virtually add codes for each guest reservation and unlock/lock the door as needed2) Security Camera - Ring doorbell - This allows you to see who is actually coming into the property and confirm it is the person who booked the property.

It all depends on how much effort you want to expend in building/maintaining this site and how much control you want to have with the underlying data etcOption 1 : Buy a domain --> Host it on a platform like GoDaddy.

Rent out your entire place or if you rent a room, clear it with your roommates so you can see if you like hosting.

Sometimes knowing why but for silly reasons (a guest complained about a camera that was properly disclosed in the listing, etc).This is also why I don't use the same AirBNB account for my own travels as I do for my hosting.
