Moved in and about 3 months later found out that their was a highway coming through and the property was considered under emanate domain for the city/state and they were buying the properties at a reduced rate.

I live in New York where it's extremely expensive to buy so I could not do a house hack.

Yvonne.20% is plenty for repairs and vacancy.I think that the city with no rent control is going to be best so I would choose Vallejo.
