Additionally, many of the tools that new (and seasoned) investors use are the websites that EVERYBODY uses – Zillow, Trulia, Redfin, etc.

With that being said are there any other ways to find how a property was paid for besides the county website?

the best place for a rental contract is from the Edmonton landlord advisory board website.

If you want "true" sales data, get your county data sets and do primary research. realtor.com is a web site owned by Move, Inc., which was acquired by News Corp.
