Some people are willing to buy on the promise of higher future rents and improved cash flow, but that's a quick way to get into trouble like so many did in '07+  Be careful, be patient. 

For reference, I have searched on websites like Zoopla and all the other big ones, as well as checking repossession/foreclosure auction websites which seem to have very little in terms of actual houses.I have been searching online for several weeks now, so maybe I am not being patient enough, but is there something I'm missing?

Direct mail can be a good way to go if you're a good copy-writer, good "sales" person, and are patient enough to go through enough leads to find prospective properties.
