I like to set up filters like "waterfront, mountain views, 20+ acres" and then coast my way around the country haha.

I’ve been looking into areas like Oakhurst, Mariposa, Yosemite West, and surrounding towns.If you own or manage a vacation rental in this region, I’d love to hear about your experience.

you can still find good deals more west of the freeway in SLC or off market in SLC or south salt lake but they are harder to come by

Will they be mostly concentrated around the coasts or more midwest or maybe down south for example? 

Has anyone used a general contractor in the west Michigan area that is willing to give a quote for price per sq ft or a range of price per sq ft for a full gut remodel?

I know more about Phoenix living locally but I hear good things about NC especially from east coast investors.

Just like on the West coast pre foreclosures are highly regulated but folks violate those laws all the time..

This does pose a challenge since that real estate is a lot more expensive than if you go more west and south.
