The thing I liked is that I got better thicker wood, handles done, countertops, sink, extras, and for 2 they were turnkey right down to the sink and granite counter.

A HELOC should be explored in addition to a cashout, lots of variables here as to what the best route is.I wouldn't put much weight into the neighbors, this is common and as investors we build thicker skin as we go forward via pesky neighbors and tenants. =)I would recommend your plan involve you not paying MI on your new purchase, so coming in with 20% down + would be my advice.

We chose something a little more expensive since it was a thicker material - a little less than the height of wood flooring in terms of thickness and it was around $2.50 per square foot.

One issue is that the carport is very narrow, and anything much thicker may begin to cause clearance issues with today's giant cars.Thanks again for the replies.
