They sound to me like they're already testing you, yet I landlord in the type of place where people will more likely not be honest than they'll be honest, so call me jaded.

It seems counterintuitive unless you 1) know something about the property and its potential that no one else does, or 2) you have a very naive investor that will probably feel a bit jaded once they see that the property was listed.Passing up a pay day isn't fun, but do you really want to be doing those kinds of deals?

This was something I thought that I was being friendly and personable as a landlord, but I still ended up getting burned for being nice Rereading this I feel like I sound a bit jaded, but it’s also better to rip off the band aid early on versus letting the bad stuff build up over time and hear things like “the other landlord was never like this” etc etc Best, Michael

@Jade Chau I'm fond of Cranston in general, but some parts, particularly near Providence, can get a bit dicey.As far as "safe", nothing is completely safe or completely unsafe.
